Are you ready to begin your weight loss journey but do not want to make a surgical step? If so, we are happy to direct you to our non-surgical weight loss specialist to identify a plan that most impacts your overall health.
Our team supports you through all of our programs with continued education and counseling before and after any weight loss plan. Our goal is to help you lose weight and enjoy your new life. But we cannot do this alone. Achieving success with the surgical or non-surgical weight loss program requires commitment, following a diet plan, exercising and following up with our physician and support staff on a regular basis. Our team will help you along the way in achieving your goals and making the lifestyle changes that can help guide you on your new journey.
Medical weight loss is a plan designed and supervised by healthcare professionals, emphasizing diet, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle. It also may include weight loss prescription medications.
Patients will have an initial assessment by our obesity medicine physician or advanced practice provider including their medical history as well as possibly a physical exam, laboratory work-up, and a body composition evaluation. The body composition evaluation measures the body's percentage of fat, protein, minerals, bone, body water and muscle.
Patients will be provided with nutrition support and education. Registered dietitians will be available as needed to monitor progress, adjust the weight loss plan and celebrate incremental successes along the way.
Patients will receive an individualized diet plan, fitness goals, and prescription weight loss medications when medically necessary. Diet plans and medications will be adjusted as needed and appropriate.
Individuals with a body mass index of 30, or a body mass index of 27 with an obesity related health concern, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, may qualify for medical weight loss.
We will bill insurance for medical weight loss services, but this does not guarantee payment by your insurance company.
